A truly exceptional unique adults only retreat. The property deserves its 5 star rating, providing first class accommodation and a magical experience with its beautiful location populated by fallow deer, Guinea fowl, peacocks, Hebridean sheep, geeses and ducks all tame enough to feed from your hand. Elm Vale is absolutely magical. The cottage is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and well equipped with everything youd need for a relaxing week away. The animals are an absolute highlight - you can either watch them through the massive window of the cottage or head outside to feed them by hand. This was our second time at Elm Vale but first dRead moreuring the summer, and the pool, bbqs and fire pits made our stay even more special this time around. We dont have a car and it was really easy to get to from Diss station, and a short walk to tesco and the town centre for everything we needed. We had a lovely week and loved the place, waking up in the countryside with a beautiful view, animals were very tame, Ive never been that close to fallow deer, chickens and rams, just amazing! Very peaceful and quiet week, not enough sunshine unfortunately to make use of the pool. Comfortable bed and sofa, hot powerful shower and a huge beautiful Read morebath and only a short walk through the back gate to civilisation, supermarket right on the doorstep and a lovely town with everything you may need. We had a lovely stay, friendly hosts who were there when we needed them. We loved our animal neighbours, made us feel close to nature. Short walk through the woods and past river to shops and lovely town, which had lots of amenities, certain we will be repeat visitors and have recomended vale farm to our family and friends.

June 2024. Excellent accommodation, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need including biscuits for the animals who are quite tame . Shops and other amenities are nearby and location is an excellent base for exploring the countryside, would certainly recommend and consider another holiday there .

Groom's Rooms was everything we could hope for in terms of comfort and had everything we needed. We were so lucky to have super sunshine all week. All the animals are delightful and many are tame, to such an extent that they literally eat out of your hand. The location was idyllic for us and extremely peaceful. If you like wildlife at your back door you wont be disappointed. The site is set in an amazing grounds and the lodge is comfortable and well set out.

We had the most amazing week in the Grooms Rooms. The property was immaculate and a perfect way to spend half term. We couldn't recommend this place enough and will be coming back in the summer. Shout out to the owners for being friendly, helpful and communicative.

5 star accommodation with everything you would need. Perfect location for the town and train station so close, yet you're in a relaxing and secluded animal friendly environment! Would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.
