Inland, visit Pencarrow House (8.5 miles), a Georgian gem set in 50 acres of beautiful grounds, or Lanhydrock, (10 miles) a magnificent Victorian mansion run by the National Trust.

This open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen with lovely country views is full of character with beams, sloping ceilings, a wood burner and comfortable seating. A Smart TV and Bluetooth speakers provide home entertainment and there’s a handy tide clock to help guests plan trips to the coast. One of two bedrooms is a king-size, with a Hypnos mattress designed to promote good sleep, Smart TV and a clock radio charging dock. The other has a single 3′ bed, TV and USB charging point. A streamlined bathroom has a double-ended bath, separate rain shower and WC.
Outside, is an enclosed rear patio and another in the pretty front garden area has a table, chairs, and BBQ.
