Located 2.5 miles from the vibrant, historical Oxford, you certainly won’t be lost for interesting places to visit. The famous university that dates back to 1188 and has produced some of the world’s greatest minds. Visitor attractions include so many of the country’s most attractive architecture such as The Bodleian Library, Pitt Rivers Museum and The Ashmolean. The views across the rooftops from Carfax Tower or St Mary the Virgin worth the long ascent up stone staircases. A camera is essential needless to say. Why not embark on a trip in a punt from Folly Bridge to pretty Iffley Lock; take a trip on a tourist bus, or take a long stroll through Christchurch Meadows? There is an endless selection of historical places to check out on your stay near Oxford.
On entry to the lodge, through a roomy lobby hall, you will find a large open plan living space. The lounge/kitchen/diner is airy and welcoming. The lounge area has comfy places to sit and unwind in front of the TV/DVD at the end of a day’s worth of exploration. A few feet away is the dining area with a table large enough for six diners. The kitchen area is equipped with electric oven and gas hob, hi-fi, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. There is a utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer. The three bedrooms includes two doubles, one of with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The third bedroom is a twin. Nearby is the main bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.
Outside the holiday lodge is further access to four acres of gardens across a lovely lawn. Full of neat flora and fauna, it’s a very pleasant spot to recharge and make plans for the rest of the stay in Oxford. Each lodge has its own private garden area and access to the riverside gardens which are set behind a private gated entrance. Please enquire in advance if you’d like to punt or fish on site as it can be arranged for you, as well as weekly cleaning, secretarial, and an advance grocery order service.
