Walkers can also join the Offa's Dyke footpath at Pandy (10 miles), where you can climb the Cat’s Back, a wonderful ridge on Black Hill. Nearby attractions include The Big Pit at Blaenavon (8 miles), Brecon Mountain Railway (24 miles), and Zip World Tower (30 miles). Abergavenny, just 6 miles away, is a vibrant market town with Michelin Guide restaurants, while Crickhowell (9 miles) offers a quaint market town experience.

Enjoying a private setting within the grounds of Goytre Hall in the picturesque Usk Valley, this beautifully restored original pool house offers a spacious and stylish retreat for up to eight guests. The property retains many charming original features, including vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and stonework, adding character and warmth to the space. Guests are welcomed through the cobbled courtyard, entering a handy area for storing coats and boots. Leading on from here, the contemporary kitchen is well-equipped to cater to all culinary needs. The open-plan living space is flooded with natural light from the original wooden doors that open directly onto the outdoor pool area. The lounge offers ample seating for eight, complete with a Smart TV, while the generously sized dining table is perfect for enjoying meals together. There are three spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, two super-king-size and one king-size. All of these boast en-suite bathrooms, two featuring freestanding baths, walk-in showers and WCs, and one with a wet room and WC. A staircase leads to a twin bedroom on the first floor with its own en-suite with a bath and WC.
