Enjoying a peaceful location within rural Monmouthshire, this stylish retreat for two is the perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoying an elevated position within a rolling valley with access to stunning scenery across to the Black Mountains. With local footpaths accessible from the front door and the National cycle trail close by. Explore the ancient forests, the River Wye and nearby hillsides with great views, to include The Kymin (11.5 miles) and the Skirrid (18 miles). The area is also rich in history with many medieval castles to explore, Chepstow (9 miles), Raglan (6 miles), and the famous Tintern Abbey (7 miles), along with The Virtuous Well (2.5 miles) and Harold’s Stones in Trelleck (2.5 miles). Golfers are also well served with several well-regarded courses close by to include St Pierre Country Club (11 miles) and, set in 400 acres of tranquil parkland, Celtic Manor (15.5 miles) boasting three championship courses, Woodlake Park Golf Club (11 miles) and The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club (12 miles).

The property is set within the grounds of the owner’s home, with a private driveway and access. A pathway from the parking area leads to the main entrance. Here you can leave your walking boots by the door and step inside to the beautifully furnished open plan living space, flooded with natural light with garden and orchard views creating the perfect space to relax in. The space has been cleverly configured, offering a lounge area with generously sized sofas and coffee table, a Smart TV and wood burner for chilly evenings. There is a well-equipped kitchen area offering everything you may need for preparing meals during your stay and a breakfast bar with comfortable seating is great for breakfasts whilst planning the day. A hallway to the rear offers access to a generously sized bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into twin beds on request when booking), and en-suite shower room. There is also a separate cloakroom with WC off the hallway.

The gardens are situated to the front, with patio doors opening onto a private terrace where a hot tub awaits; with little light pollution you can enjoy the dark skies whilst soaking. There is also a table and chairs for summer dining and storage for bikes.

We had a great couple of nights here, the owners made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful, nothing was too much for them. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

We had a really lovely stay at The Shed. It was perfectly clean, wonderfully comfortable, surprisingly spacious and finished to a really high standard. The hot tub was wonderful, even when the weather was poor. We would be very happy to come back any time!

We had a great holiday at "the shed" the owners were so welcoming and really made our trip memorable.. great views.. fab hot tub... the facilities were 10 out of ten and the little extras...everything you could need for your stay.. I would recommend this property and hope to stay again ...

The Shed is situated in the most stunning tranquil location. It is equipped to a very high level & is extremely clean. Outside there is plenty of space & the hot tub is a great place to round off the day
