Lovely place and great location although the footpath to the beach was too muddy to use so had to walk on the road but only took 5 mins and it wasnt too busy. There is no pub in Porthcothan despite various websites saying so but the hut by the beach is very good. The coastal path either side of the beach is easy to walk and cafe near Bedruthan StepRead mores is excellent, we continued past it to Mawgan Porth which has a couple of nice restaurants. There is a very good bakery in St Merryn which also had a selection of frozen meals so no need to cook. The accommodation was very well done, our only complaint was there wasnt anywhere to hang coats which was a problem especially when they were wet but I have mentioned this to the owner. We found the utility useful for drying the dog towels and keeping muddy boots in. Overall an excellent stay. , Hide

Superb high quality property with exceptional attention to detail. Quality kitchenware (unusual to have sharp cooking knives!) and underfloor heating excellent. Location great with short walk to beach and coast path. Light pollution free so star gazing special. Great views of sunsets from the garden. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location and ideal for two people and our 2 dogs. The property is down a lane and is very quiet. It is very well equipped and great views from the garden. One negative is the bed. Could do with an upgrade so it is in fitting with the rest of the house.

Perfectly located little cottage, ideal for the 2 of us and the dog. View from the far end of the land over the bay was fabulous a great place to sit and contemplate with a glass of wine. Would definitely use again.

What a wonderful cottage to stay in for a great week in the sunshine, we were so lucky with the weather! The cottage is beautifully presented with everything you need and lovely welcoming treats. Its very comfortable, light and airy and has all the equipment needed. The decor and soft furnishings are very modern and stylish. There is a utility roomRead more with a sink, fridge freezer and washing machine and clothes line around the side of the property which is very useful. The area is very accessible for North Cornwall which we have visited many times and only a short walk to the beach through a grassy path down the valley or along the road. The entrance is not at the bottom by the mill but only a short walk opposite the next house down the lane. The location is quiet and there is extension land above the property with a lovely bench area where you can sit and over look the sea and watch the tide. You can hike either direction along the coast to beautiful bays and areas of interest. Buses are accessible too and you can hop off at Berryfields stop instead of the shop at Porthcothan bay. We hiked to Mawgan Porth and bused back. Cant wait to return for another visit! Hide
