Alternatively, for fabulous family days out visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens (5.5 miles) recognisable from the Harry Potter movies and Downton Abbey series.

This stunning, bright, and spacious property offers a warm welcome to all guests. Enter into the hallway which has plenty of space to hang coats and place walking boots before heading into the well-equipped kitchen/diner. Cook up dinner while socialising with other guests sitting around the kitchen’s island. We had a lovely week at the Old Mill. Its in a great location with uninterrupted views of open fields with big skies and a lovely outdoor space to sit and listen to the stream. Comfy beds, good showers and large living spaces for family groups. 10 mins drive to Alnwick for shops. Close to the coast. Would recommend!

Weve had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped and the views from some of the bedrooms are simply spectacular! A very well-designed conversion from an old mill to a comfortable modern house. Superbly finished and very well equipped, the house is in a very peaceful location with wonderful views from the balcony (including regular visits from a barn owl). We had a lovely stay and found the location to be ideally suited for exploring Northumberland.

This was our third visit and, as usual, the property met all our needs. There was plenty of space for our multi generational family consisting of a toddler and his parents and grandparents. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we're planning to return in 2025.

A stunning house which suited our three generations down to the ground. There was plenty of space inside the house for us not to feel on top of each other and it was well equipped apart from we could not find any spare loo rolls and bin liners. We appreciated the Bbq which was not mentioned in the inventory. The views were stunning and we are treatRead moreed to a barn owl hunting at dusk. We regretted not taking binoculars! The children enjoyed the garden and swing and the location is excellent being close to the beach, Alnwick, and Bamburgh. We certainly hope to return as we had a fabulous holiday. Hide

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill, a lovely quiet setting with beautiful views. We visited Bamburgh castle, Alnwick, the beautiful beaches and had a boat trip round the Farne Islands to see puffins! Would recommend The Jolly Fisherman in Craster for great food.
