Lovely cottage in excellent location a few steps away from harbour and pub (can be some noise on weekends, but didnt bother us in January) and short walk to local Co-op and shops. Cottage is well equipped but not many basic provisions for cooking (tea, decaf coffee, sugar, salt and pepper provided).

Lovely cottage right in the middle of Seahouses. On street parking may be an issue but we parked outside 90% of the time. Pub across the road but this wasnt any bother.Cottage is tastefully decorated with a homely feel. Good facilities within. We were a family with a dog and this was a good choice for us and we would stay again.

Lovely well decorated cottage and great that some logs are supplied but there are no instructions re the house so s bins not put out also no instructions on the hob which is difficult to work out if you are not used to convection hobs. The water pressure in the property is incredibly low and just dribbles out

This is genuinely a lovely cottage which I'm sad to see is up for sale; this is our second stay here. There are a few improvements I'd make, such as more cutlery and a better selection of glasses and oven dishes, but these are really minor details, and if not heeded would not spoil your stay. The location is FABULOUS but comes with a draw back overRead more the parking, some of which was most, most inconsiderate from others who were also on holiday. I think a "please leave space for residents of Samphire Cottage" sign, in the window, would not go a miss, although equally that would not be mandatory to abide by, but it really has been quite tricky at times. Would I stay here again? Yes, in a heartbeat. Is there room for improvement? I do think so. I do hope that any sale of this property still allows for a holiday let. It's genuinely lovely, and superbly placed, and we would absolutely go back. The communication from Original Cottages was also very good, but please allow for a 10:30 vacation of the property? Hide

Samphire Cottage is a beautiful little place and is well placed a stones throw from the harbour and town village centre. It is opposite 2 pubs whose patrons parked outside the cottage at times whilst we were there and I feel that this could be an issue in the high season so definitely something to be aware of. There is no coffee machine which I kRead morenow is not essential however would be a nice addition for those coffee snobs amongst us. The kitchen is otherwise lovely and well equipped with everything you would need. Dog owners need to be aware that the shared courtyard is not really dog friendly. You cannot just let them out to do their deeds as there are signs that other cottage owners have placed. This had a negative impact on us and we would not have booked had we known this. The two leather recliners were great and we channelled our inner Chandler & Joey on a couple of occasions which was a source of great amusement!! Best beach is Beadnell a couple of miles away it's great for the woofs too! Hide

You should have stated that dogs were not allowed in the bedrooms. Dogs were not free. You have a booking fee . The cottage had no instructions for the hob. The towel rail was switched on in the bedroom should have been advised. There was no means of protecting the polished table from hot plates. Most other properties had no parking signs outside. The overall quality of the interior was high, however the utensils in the kitchen were very poor quality and let the overall standard of the cottage down. The bathroom was great but the water ran cold for 2 days and had very low pressure so unable to wash hair or use, what was a great bath.
