Surrounded by Mid Wales countryside, this luxurious glamping pod on a working farm is the perfect retreat for a couple looking to get away from it all. Spot wildlife and admire the panoramic views of the Dyfi Valley from the property’s secluded location, or cross the River Dyfi to walk to the centre of Dinas Mawddwy, 0.5 miles away, where there’s a café and a pub. Adventure seekers can set out on foot to climb the many peaks within the southern Snowdonia National Park, including the challenging 9-mile hike over Foel Benddin which begins almost at the front door.

The pod combines countryside simplicity with modern touches, including underfloor heating. Inside, the accommodation has an open-plan layout with wooden tones throughout, and windows maximising the beautiful rural views. The living area has a corner sofa, TV, DVD player and plenty of space to dine, while the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Tucked away next to the kitchen is the double bed, while at the far end of the pod is the modern bathroom.

Step outside to further enjoy the rural views. The enclosed patio area is the perfect spot to dine alfresco, while the hot tub, BBQ and firepit create a relaxing ambience for a romantic evening together.

A brilliant location and a Pos that has everything that you could need. A good old fashioned local pub just over the footbridge if you want to eat out or the facilities to make your own meals. Stayed two days at this fabulous property. Relaxing in hot tub after long walks was a perfect way to unwind. I grew up on a mountain farm but the panoramic views here are incredible. Welcome hamper was a nice touch. Community cafe and village pub short walk - both very good. Cant wait to revisit.

Very remote cottage, perfect for a break from absolutely everything. Not a person in sight all weekend unless you venture to a pub down the road which I highly recommend. Cottage was cosy and had everything you need, hot tub and fire pit were amazing.

My partner and I had a fantastic 5 night stay at Caban Clyd in July 2023. The views were beautiful in every direction and there are a wide range of walks available right on the doorstep. The location is quiet and private but with local amenities just a 5 minute walk away. There is a lovely pub in the village called Y Llew Coch (The Red Lion) which Read morewe went to often for food - delicious, hearty meals (especially the Sunday roast!) and very friendly staff and locals. The pod itself is extremely cosy and very well equipped, and the hot tub was lovely after a long day of walking. Though we didn't meet Elen herself, we met her friendly husband who worked on the farm next door and we knew we could contact Elen for anything we might need. For those who enjoy a good climb but do not want the crowds of Snowden, we recommend Aran Fawdwwy (10min drive from Caban Clyd) - it is a difficult hike but stunningly beautiful and very quiet. We only saw 3 other hikers all day! All in all, we had a really lovely visit at Caban Clyd and would love to return in the future. Thanks Elen for having us :) Hide
