Watch the surfers having the time of their lives, or make your way to Newquay Harbour (8.5 miles) to take a wildlife boat trip. You may be lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins and sharks. Alternatively, go for a romantic cruise on the boating lake at Trenance Gardens (7 miles), or to Perranporth (8 miles) to see its Iron Age fort. This gorgeous stretch of coastline is said to have inspired the Poldark novels.

The location of this property for us was ideal for visiting different parts of Cornwall and the plume of feathers was in walking distance

Stunning property equipped and decorated to such a high standard. An absolute joy to stay here, a real break. The plume of feathers pub just down the road is absolutely excellent as well, a real bonus to have it so close. The Cart House is a delightful, well appointed and very comfortable property, offering all amenities. We felt very well there and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Being part of a wider ensemble of other buildings and set in a rural and quiet environment, the Cart House also offered tranquility.

Lovely accommodation perfectly situated for visiting all parts of Cornwall. Facilities first class. Felt at home from the first moment we walked in. Nice quiet village with lovely pub and restaurant just a short walk away.

We stayed at The Cart House for 5 days and it was such an enjoyable stay. At the end of each day walking round Cornwall it was so nice to come back to such a lovely property to relax in for the evening. The Cart House was a great property, and everything in it was like new and top spec. I was very clean and well presented. It was spacious and bright and had everything we needed for a week. Its in a nice village and very accessible to the A30 to explore Cornwall. It would have been great to have had a garden for the dog but we were out exploring wRead moreith him everyday and so it wasnt an issue And everywhere we went was very dog friendly, including the local pub (The Plume of Feathers). The owners were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again. Hide

Fabulous stay! Lovely, clean & modern property. Very comfortable bed Only slight downside is that there is no garden area for the dog, saying that.. a lovely village to walk round. Overall excellent stay.

This property is perfectly situated in a nice quite spot, with easy access to shops and beach a short drive away. The hosts are lovely and the property is beautiful decorated thought-out, it made our week stay very comfortable!

We had a fantastic long weekend at The Cart House, it was well equipped and everything was spotless. Very handy location made it easy to reach everywhere we wanted to go (we did day trips to St Ives, Eden Project, Lands End, St Michaels Mount and Padstow). Would recommend a meal at The Plume of Feathers pub just down the road. We had no reason to cRead moreontact Phil and Helen but knew we could if we had any problems. There is no outside space or bath so just be mindful if you have a dog but we managed just fine. Perranporth and Holywell Bay are good beaches nearby. Overall we would definitely recommend The Cart House! Hide
