Nestled 0.5 miles from the historic market town of Totnes, this romantic bolthole for two offers tranquil surroundings and a homely, cosy feel. Follow the bridal path from the end of the garden to explore the pretty village of Ashprington. Dating back to 907 AD, Totnes is a fascinating town which offers stunning countryside views plus independent shopping, markets, food, drink and interesting attractions including a cinema with its own cocktail bar. Located in the heart of South Devon on the banks of the River Dart, this unique and charming town has a reputation for its lively community. Ideally located to take seasonal boat trips down the river to the historic town of Dartmouth , 'Round Robin' trips or scenic steam train rides. Visit nearby Dartington for the beautiful Barn Cinema, shops, a stunning Deer Park and award-winning, family-friendly food and drink.

As you enter the cabin you have a cosy living room/dining area and a kitchenette. The living space has a carpeted floor and rug, a two-seater sofa, TV and dining table and chairs. The kitchen allows you to rustle up some meals with a microwave grill/combi, electric twin hob and slow cooker. There’s also a Lavazza coffee machine. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, Freeview TV and an en-suite with a shower cubicle and WC.

Outside, you have a private decking area with a bathtub. Enjoy an evening under the stars using the double hammock or bench.

A great cabin experience, well set up and designed. Totnes a good place to be though walking access has to be considered. We are looking to go back.

Lovely view across Totnes and river from decking. Bath outside is unusual but I couldnt resist it. Bed and sofa very comfortable, just what you need after a day exploring. Fairly steep slope with steps from car park to cabin so not suitable for infirm guests. TV in both bedroom and sitting area which was handy at times. Enjoyed our stay.

I had an enjoyable stay at Dart View Cabin. Donna and Nick were lovely hosts and the area is very peaceful and quiet. Totnes makes a great base for hiking and walks with good transport links to the coast.

Main problem is the access road which is a challenge. Finally I would suggest table on the decking for outside eating would be good.

The accommodation is small but quite adequate for two people. Lovely views over Totnes. Not the easiest of places to get to as road very narrow.

Lovely comfortable cabin in a great location with stunning views. It was private, cosy, with a small secure area for the dog. Good walks from the cabin and recommended walks from the friendly owners. Totnes is a short walk away and has good independent shops and places to eat. Ideal place for visiting coast, Dartmoor and river walks. Good value fRead moreor money for a stay in July. We would definitely stay again. The cabin is well organised but we found there is limited storage for clothes, however we always take too much! You need to be fairly fit to manage path down to the cabin with bags and if walking to and from there due to the hill. Hide

Cabin has a great view over the town from the patio, Totnes town centre is walking distance. Welcome bottle of wine when you arrive, plus tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets.Kitchen is a tiny "galley", but has all you need for basic cooking. Great water pressure in shower. Limited clothes storage - would be cramped for 2 people, but hey, you're on holidaRead morey! Totnes is a lovely town and a good base for touring South Devon. Owner has provided a folder with clear maps indicating walking routes along the beautiful Devon coast, plus a folder detailing other local attractions. One week is not enough! Hide
