These beautiful bespoke detached properties offer luxurious accommodation nestled in a private peaceful bay within a stone’s throw away from the sea shore but yet close to all local amenities. Located only 2 miles from the village of Auchencairn and 11 miles from Castle Douglas making this a fantastic base to explore the areas natural beauty and wildlife, or just to relax and look out to sea from the lodges and you may even spot the dolphins. There are numerous attractions close by including, Sweetheart Abbey, Galloway wildlife conservation park, Drumlanrig castle, Broughton house & gardens, Caerlaverock castle, The summer gallery, Threave castle & gardens, Ellisland farm, Robert Burns house & museum, Dundrennan abbey, Loch Ken water sports, The Stewartry museum, many golf courses including Colvend, New Galloway & Dalbeattie.

These nine attractive lodges are set privately around a large secluded bay, just a stone’s throw away from the seashore. Outside: private enclosed balcony with seating area and hot tub, guests are welcome to explore the bay and country walks around the estate. Leisure facilities: private hot tub and sea fishing. Amenities:  towels, bed linen, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. Regret not suitable for children over 6 months. A lovely, well equipped, lodge in a great location literally next to the rocky beach. Very peaceful and ideal place to get away from it all and just switch off. Views over the sea from living area and hottub are great.

An excellent place to relax and recharge. The circular walks were appreciated by our spaniel and knowing he was secure within the property was also great. The hot tub was well used with amazing views across the Solway Firth and the countryside. We were lucky to see Ospreys too. Nearby Kirkcudbright is lovely and we enjoyed Gatehouse of Fleet. ScotlRead moreands National Book Town is also only a short drive. However we were just as happy staying put and walking to the little shop in Auchencairn. Hide

Another very lovely stay! Fiona and her family work hard to ensure guests are comfortable from thoughtful gifts to fluffy towels/robes. The wrap around view is simply gorgeous, whatever the weather. It was absolute heaven staying here for four days for my birthday! The views were simply stunning, we saw a seal from our bedroom window! Very well equipped and lovely little gifts on arrival, nice and warm too as it was super cold outside while we were there! The enclosed space outside for the dogs was great too. Absolutely perfect getaway. From the easy directions on arrival, thoughtful welcome wine, chocs, tablet, flowers doggy treats, i really cannot say thanks enough what a lovely welcome! These cabins are amazing they are quiet, clean and absolutely the place to go if you want to get away from it all and completely relax. The quality in this Lodge was top drawer, from the fittings, bedding ,towels , ect. there was tea, coffee, milk, plus a few luxuries there to greet us an added touch was a vase of flowers, we cant praise this lodge enough the owners have bent over backwards to offer a very high standard of comfort, there was even an electric blanket on the bed in cRead morease the Scottish weather took a turn for the worst We highly recommend this property THANKYOU TO ALL THAT MADE OUR VISIT SO MEMORABLE Hide

Absolutely beautiful lodge with everything you need and more. Our 2 dogs loved the welcome treats. Fiona the owner is lovely, and so friendly. The hoover was broken and Fiona replaced this within 2 days. The views are amazing with lovely walks. The hot tub is great and cleaned and checked every morning. We will definitely return.

We've had a lovely relaxing, peaceful holiday in a stunning part of the country with beautiful views. Coastal walks with the dog while keeping an eye out for dolphins, deer and wild birds. Finishing the day in a fabulous hot tub, what's not to enjoy! Thanks to the friendly owner for the wine and dog treats, a nice touch. We'll be back!

I would highly recommend the property for its facilities. It had everything we needed. Great views and very quiet also. Castle Douglas is 20 minutes drive or so if you need supermarket or theres a local shop in auchencairn which is a few minutes drive.

Really good holiday for walking with dogs. Recommend sandhills and Kippford for visits The lodges were amazing. Plenty of space inside and outside. Hot tub a nice experience. The owners couldn't be nice enough. Very nice tea room called bramleys There is plenty of information provided by owners where to go WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN

The Lodge is situated on the most beautiful bay. It was very clean, very well equipped and the bed was so comfortable. The main bathroom was superb - a fantastic easy to use shower. Stayed in Lodge 3 and views fantastic, Hot tub absolutely great but did have some issues with a few things, Pot holes in roads leading to Lodges although not great to look at they could cause car issues if arriving in dark as getting quite deep, no shelves in shower for shampoos etc and needing to keep bending down. WIFI great but absolutely no phoRead morene signal at all, and as a business woman this did cause problems and couldn't receive text messages either. Lovely lodge though and peaceful. Hide
