The nearby village of Boldre (1.5 miles) offers the perfect blend of rural tranquillity and easy access to Hampshire’s charming coastline, most notably the vibrant coastal town of Lymington (4 miles). Lovers of the outdoors will enjoy discovering the many walking trails that surround the property and offer scenic routes to the national park’s most popular spots. For a day by the sea, head down to Lymington where you can peruse the market town’s bustling streets, diving into seaside shops, independent boutiques, and seafood restaurants. The town is known as the gateway to the Isle of Wight, and you can catch a ferry over to the island where seemingly endless opportunities for beach days and coast path rambles await.

Before stepping into this one-of-a-kind property, take a moment to absorb the surrounding greenery, which sets the perfect scene for a peaceful New Forest getaway. Head on inside to uncover an impressive blend of sophistication and space, starting with the heart of the home, the open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. Soaked in natural light thanks to the modern, wide windows, this is the perfect spot to recharge before your next rural adventure. Sink into the soft seating and flick on the Smart TV as you rest weary walking muscles, always keeping cosy thanks to the underfloor heating. When stomachs rumble, find that the well-appointed kitchen boasts all that’s needed to whip up memorable feasts for your loved ones, who can enjoy the chef’s work at the chic dining table inside or alfresco-style out on the decking. At the end of each day away, retire to the two sleek and peaceful double bedrooms, each thoughtfully decorated to reflect your natural surroundings. For those needing a little extra sleeping space, a charming mezzanine level is accessed via a sturdy ladder, where twin beds can be set up upon request. A well-equipped family shower room completes the interior.

Step outside, and you’ll find plenty of space for your four-legged friends to roam freely. The outdoor area is perfect for al fresco dining, featuring a BBQ and a lovely decking area. Here, you can relax in the built-in hot tub, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, and soak in the beautiful forest vistas.  2 acres of natural woodland where you can roam free also with direct access to Roydon Woods Nature Reserve.  Private parking for two cars is also available.

The cottage is in a perfect position for peace & quiet & yet within easy access to the Forrest & surrounding area. We really appreciated the private space & woods & our spaniel loved it.. We could walk from the property through a field & onto forest walks. The cottage in winter was welcoming & warm. I expect four adults would find it quite cozy butRead more for two we found it delightful. There was plenty of equipment for outdoor living in warmer weather including the lovely hot tub. Hide

Fabulous property! Comfortable, cosy and something a little different than the usual cottages on offer. Would highly recommend. Watching the stars from the hot tub on Sunday evening was a particular treat! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

As soon as you pull into Elkhaven drive you immediately feel the sense of quality and space. The unique accomodation is very stylish and cosy, with incredible views out of every window to the forest. Having a wooden hot tub was a delight - especially whilst star gazing in the winter evenings. It was the perfect retreat away from the city with walkiRead moreng routes directly from the door, whilst also being close enough to quaint towns and tradional pubs. I cant wait to come back next year! Hide
