The village hosts a cozy traditional pub, a community café, and various charming local enterprises, with a popular duck pond. There are numerous walks from the doorstep, such as the adjoining magical Hackfall Woods (0.5 miles). Masham a market town (3.5 miles), famous for its traditional breweries and vibrant market square, on from Masham (0,4 miles) to Swinton Park Estate. Alternatively, visit Ripon Market Town (6.8 miles) with a 7th Century Cathedral, travel further to Studley Roger Deer Park (2.8 miles) sited alongside the atmospheric Fountains Abbey. Grantley Hall (6.6 miles) from your doorstep is a luxury Hotel / wellness retreat, and up the hill from the Hall G&T ice cream parlour (0.7 miles) will have you spoilt for choice.

What a great find! A lovely, cosy and luxurious cottage in a nice tranquil village. Every little detail has been thought of including duck food (to feed the ravenous ducks that reside on the next door duck pond), and a box of 'bits you might have forgotten (check under bathroom sink!). A fabulous cottage in a beautiful area. Lovely welcome basket for both us and the doggies - which they loved! Our first trip to North Yorkshire but definitely not our last. Just need to wait for the village pub to open again after the refurb! Thank you so much for a marvellous experience.

Grewelthorpe is a very pretty Dales village and Duck Cottage is perfectly located to explore the area. Its a beautifully renovated cottage and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and homely. The notes left are personal and explain what to do rather than what not to do. We loved the cottage and the location and so did our dogs . Beautiful little village on door step of fantastic country walks and next to real lovely town Masham with not one but two Brewerys.

Loved our stay at this pretty cottage. Tastefully renovated, bathroom is lovely with a large bath and walk in shower. The bed is very comfortable and the soft furnishings & towels are really nice quality. The owners have thought of everything, the welcome basket was a nice surprise. Cottage was spotless. Guests and doggie welcome pack a nice gesture. The location is perfect for exploring locally. Walks from village and local beauty spots, good for fitness and active dogs. Quiet location. Local pubs ten minutes drive away. Visit Jervaulx abbey, Fountains Abbey, black sheep brewery tours, Leyburn or Ripon for market town shops.
