Renovated in 2023 are these two stone barn conversions situated up on the hilltop in the picturesque village of Grosmont, nestled within the scenic North York Moors National Park. We enjoyed our holiday at Bluebell Wood Cottage despite very mixed weather. The cottage is small but comfortable, stylish and well equipped and has spectacular views both front and back. It is worth noting that there is currently no direct vehicle access to Grosmont because of a closed bridge and direct vehicle access would in any case require crosRead moresing a ford which is impassable in periods of heavy rainfall. However, main roads can be accessed easily via Egton Bridge and Egton. Hide

Lovely property renovated to a very high standard. Everything we needed was provided. Nice extra touches were the excellent welcome basket plus eggs from the owners own chickens who kept us entertained . At first glance might appear a little on the expensive side but in this case you definitely get what you pay for.

My husband and I had a wonderful five night break at the property which is in a fabulous location with far reaching views. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and everything has been thought of for guests, including a welcome basket which we hadnt expected. Blubell Wood is truly 5 star. The location is wonderful. Peace and quiet and beautiful views, but conveniently close to Grosmont and many other places of interest in the area. The property was beautifully presented, well equipped and spotless on arrival. Louise and Florian are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would love to return.

Idyllic location for a tranquil holiday. accommodation excellent. Grosmont railway station in walking distance using the old drover route. Goathland station a short drive away. Many good walks also places of interest to visit. Country pubs with good food locally and further afield. Will recommend and hope to return.

We had a lovely holiday staying in Bluebell Wood cottage. It has amazing views over the countryside and was lovely to see the steam train passing in the valley below. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with had everything we needed for our stay and had an added bonus of a welcome pack and eggs. Beautifully appointed accommodation & set in fantastic landscape with stunning views in all directions. Lovely sitting out patio area. A really charming,clean,comfortable cottage.In a beautiful rural setting.We felt at home from the first minute.The owner was friendly and really helpful and kind with a problem I had unrelated to the cottage.The Wheatsheaf pub nearby was great catering for my partner's vegan needs.Overall we had a great break,and will return i am sure.

This is a stylishly furnished and thoughtfully converted barn in a stunning location. We loved the views from the windows and being able to watch the North Yorkshire Moors steam trains in the valley below. There were good walks in the vicinity. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and provided a welcome gift and fresh eggs from the hens on the farm.

We had a fantastic stay at Bluebell cottage. The quality of fixtures and furnishings is of a high standard.
