With views from the garden across the fells and valley and within easy reach of the coast. Located in the Lake District National Park less than half a mile from the village of Ennerdale Bridge, where you will find lovely country pubs and a coffee shop. Ennerdale Water, the most westerly lake is within 2 miles, it is a great place to escape even in the middle of summer with crystal clear water and forest walks. You are free to explore the land around the farm and enjoy a walk down to the river Ehen. The coastal town of St Bees is 7 miles away, walk along the promenade or relax on the sandy beach. For the more adventurous, visit Go Ape at Whinlatter (17 miles) or take on Catbells (26 miles) or Kinniside Stone Circle (1.5 miles) where, on a clear day, you can see Scotland and the Isle of Man.

This well-presented property is adjoining the owner’s farmhouse, located in a peaceful rural setting, with outstanding views. Entering the property into the cosy lounge, snuggle up on the sofa after a day out exploring and enjoy a good book or movie. Off the lounge, there is a shower room which can also be accessed directly from outside too, which is ideal after a walk or cycle ride. The kitchen is down one step from the lounge, it is bijou but has everything you need to rustle up a hearty breakfast or a romantic evening meal. Head up to the first floor, the stairs are located between the lounge and kitchen, you will find a spacious master bedroom with a beamed ceiling and original shutters on the window overlooking the farmyard. Completing this property is the en-suite shower room.

Outside there is a pretty lawned garden with seating and a patio, this is the owners garden, but you are free to enjoy the space and make the most of the stunning views. It is a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine or a morning coffee on a sunny day.

The Hayloft provided a lovely comfortable base for our week in Ennerdale Bridge. It has been converted to a very high standard with great attention to detail. The kitchen is small but we'll equipped. The garden is a lovely space to take in the beautiful view. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather. It's great having two pubs within walking diRead morestance both serving good food. We had a great week here; the cottage is comfortable with plenty of space for the two of us. It was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The location is quiet and peaceful with fantastic views and lots of walks nearby.

A gem of a cottage with wonderful hosts! Superb location and beautiful outlook with easy access to local cafe and two pubs for food etc. Ennerdale is our favourite valley in the Lake District due to its natural and wild beauty with less tourists. We loved staying in the Hayloft. Spotless, comfortable, spacious, beautiful outlook and great location on a working farm within easy walking distance to village and pubs. Owners were very welcoming and offered great recommendations for local sightseeing and walks.

We loved our week's stay at The Hayloft. Everything and more you could wish for was provided to ensure a carefree stay. The conservatory was a bonus to chill out in and watch the swallows and bats as well as listen to the cuckoos. On sunny evenings we also sat in the garden, enjoying the marvellous views. Very friendly and helpful owners, but never intrusive. Wonderful views from the conservatory in the morning and at the end of a day's walk. Really well furnished and comfortable.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location. Perfect for a couple. A real home from home. The Fox and Hounds pub down the road is very welcoming and the food is good. There is a village shop and cafe which sells ice cream and some useful basics.

We had a spectacular time at the Hayloft, the house was a true home in the best part of the Lake District, we wanted a slightly secluded yet breathtaking trip away and the cottage and area delivered.
