Very comfortable, warm, nicely furnished accommodation in beautiful location. Good shower, lovely spacious and comfortable bed. Will definitely return, we hope. Can do lovely lowland or highland walks from the door.

The most amazing stay at The Reteat. Accommodation is first class, luxurious and had everything we needed. Beautiful location within easy reach of the town. This was our first visit to to Ambleside and the retreat and we are already looking to book the for next year.

This is a lovely property in a fab location. Pros - fabulous and spacious bedroom with lots of storage and thoughtful layout, very comfy bed. Lovely large and modern bathroom with separate bath and shower. Lot of storage space. Spacious lounge with modern TV. Cons - no washing machine/dryer which in the Lakes maybe an issue as nowhere to dry wet clRead moreothing (No rads as underfloor heating). 5 star cottage in a fantastic location. We loved our stay at Willowbank Retreat and hope to return. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area as you are within walking distance to Ambleside but far enough away from the hussle and bussle of the town.

We had a great stay with 5 car-free days with good walks out the door. Had two sessions lounging on the large lawn area in the sunshine glorious. For two people the property was very clean with great kitchen, bathroom and bedroom ares. Lots of storage. The view out to the fells from the veranda is great.

Stunning views from a lovely veranda, top quality furniture, wonderfully comfy super king sized bed, fabulous bathroom with a large heated towel rail and super soft large towels. A good quality apartment in a wonderful setting. Attention to detail would lift performance as some basic items were missing and had to be acquired.Very peaceful setting which gave the feel of total escapism.

Willowbank Retreat is a very tastefully fitted out, spotlessly clean property. It has a fabulous outlook onto cattle grazing on the rolling hillside, yet just a few minutes walk from the charming town of Ambleside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Well what can I say about this little gem. First of all I need to say a massive thank you for accommodating us on the same day/night as we arrived in the Lake District due to a disastrous start to our holiday (not associated with this cottage). 5 star accommodation in a lovely setting. Nice and warm, beautiful bathroom and big comfy bed. Close to Ambleside and all its great amenities. Very steep hill back with limited pavement and street lighting.

We stayed at Willowbank Retreat for 5 days / 4 nights and it definitely wasnt long enough. It was so light, spacious and relaxing, I wouldnt hesitate to book again. It was really clean and had everything we needed. It was ideally located just a 10/15 minute walk from the town (up a rather steep hill but not too challenging). This is a beautifully furnished and comfortable apartment with lots of thought put into the finer details. Such as a light over the mirror in the bedroom and sockets for hairdryers etc. A very generous welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate was provided. All from local outlets.

The flat was warm and welcoming on our wet arrival. Lovely location away from the village, peaceful with a very good sized garden. We really enjoyed our week.

We enjoyed a lovely break at Willowbank Retreat which has everything you could want for a relaxing stay. My wife has already talked about a return next year. The only thing to be aware of is the steep clime up from the town and wasn't really on option on foot for us.
