This remarkable cabin is set along the Tamar River and surrounded by the Tamar Valley which is soaked in beauty and history. The World Heritage town of Tavistock (7.5 miles) is within easy reach and offers a historic pannier market, boutique shops and plenty of cafes. The National Trust property Buckland Abbey is a 5-mile drive away and well worth a visit, or head further afield to Plymouth Gin (15 miles) or Pennywell Farm (30 miles) for something a little different.
Upon entering this beautiful retreat, you will notice the luxury airy design throughout the home. Settle down in the sofa and armchairs in the lounge to watch the Smart TV, firing up the double-sided wood burner on cooler evenings. Completing this space is the dining area where guests can enjoy a spot of lunch and dinner, or sit at breakfast and plan the day’s adventures ahead. From this area, continue on into the king-size bedroom which is fabulously spacious and contains a luxury en-suite bathroom with bath, waterfall shower and WC. You will find sliding doors here so you can make your way out onto the private patio terrace. It’s the perfect spot to wake up from a holiday lie in and take in the views before you’ve even set foot out of bed.
The lodge benefits from its own patio terrace which can be accessed from the private driveway, or via the living and bedroom spaces. Relax on the comfortable outdoor seating and fire up the BBQ to enjoy while taking in the stunning views across the river. Take the short steps from the property down to the secluded hot tub and sun loungers - your own little bit of luxury at this unique retreat. In addition to this, there is also a shared, heated indoor swimming pool just up the lane which can be booked for private use too. There is private parking for two cars.
