Originally built in the 18th century, this stunning home has been perfectly renovated to provide guests with a blend of luxury and comfort. The perfect romantic bolthole.
This cosy cottage is located near a working farm close to other properties in a secluded cul-de-sac. Until recently this formed part of the Lanhydrock Estate and provides guests with the ideal escape to enjoy a blend of the idyllic Cornish countryside and its golden sands and turquoise waters. It’s just a short drive to Padstow where you can indulge in Michelin-starred restaurants. Or choose to explore the historic Charlestown harbour which featured in Poldark, or Port Isaac, the haunt of Doc Martin, both within 18 miles away. The cottage is also in a prime position for guests to visit the well-renowned Eden Project, which is just 5 miles away, or you can walk to the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House and gardens. Finally, even closer to home, those walkers and cyclists amongst you are well catered for, having easy access to the Camel Trail, Bodmin Moor and Cardinham Woods. For golfers, the Lanhydrock Golf Course and restaurant is under a mile away. The property is close to the A30, allowing easy access to South Cornwall including Land’s End, St Michael’s Mount and St Ives.
Upon entering the cottage, you will immediately be enticed by a mix of luxury and charm. With space to hang your coat and walking poles provided, you have everything you need to enjoy the surrounding trails. The kitchen space is well equipped including an electric range cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Additionally there is a dining table fit for two to enjoy a romantic meal. Making your way through to the lounge space, you will notice those creature comfort features such as a Smart TV, PlayStation 4, a comfortable sofa, an additional chair and of course a wood burner (first basket of logs provided) to cosy up and really relax into the evenings. Moving back through the home, you will find your way to the bedroom which contains a king-size bed and plenty of wardrobe space too. If the Smart TV in the lounge wasn’t enough, you have an additional Smart TV in this room also. This room then leads directly onto the cottage bathroom, which provides a choice of a spa bath or a separate shower, and a WC.
Outside, the fully enclosed garden, which is a real sun trap, is incredibly well designed to contain all those features needed to make the most of any sunny day or starry night. Take a dip in the hot tub, catch a tan on the sun loungers, enjoy the summer house whatever the weather or even light the flames on either the fire pit or BBQ provided.
