Other places of interest include the traditional fishing village of Clovelly (15 miles), Dartington Crystal (4.5 miles) and RHS Rosemoor (4 miles).
Entering the cottage into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, the high ceiling and exposed beams make for a bright and airy feel. The exposed stonework, character features, and eye-catching high-level glass window are clever design features, and the underfloor heating in the kitchen and shower room gives a feeling of warmth underfoot. The kitchen area has everything you need including an electric oven and hob, Smeg fridge/freezer dishwasher, and deep Belfast sink. On into the cosy lounge area with exposed stone wall and wooden floors, a comfy and sumptuous velvet sofa, and Smart TV, it beckons you to sit back and relax. A step up leads to the sleeping area with a double bed and stylish wall art/lights. Just off the bedroom is a shower room with a shower enclosure pebbled base WC and painted pottery washbasin that adds colour and texture. A paddle staircase leads up to a mezzanine level with a latched gate at the top where you will find two futon-style chair beds, ideal for children, as well as a selection of books puzzles, and games. Please note this room overlooks both the bedroom and the lounge area and is not ideal for very young children due to the step ladder access.
Outside, there is access to your own enclosed patio and lawn area, with garden furniture and loungers, here you can enjoy the evening sunshine with a BBQ and a drink or relax in the bubbling hot tub. By arrangement, the owner can securely store bikes, surfboards, etc. Off-road parking for one car.
