We absolutely loved our stay at Padlock Lodge. It felt like a home away from home, a relaxing and cosy get away for the two of us and our dog. It was walking distance to everything we needed (5mins to Matlock Bath and 25mins to Matlock). There was lots to do around the area and some lovely walks into the depths of the Peak District. Very nice and modern cottage, walking distance to the amenities. Quiet even though on a main road. Great for the dog with park and river walk over the road.

Lovely apartment, very well decorated, equipped and comfortable. It is set back from the road which means that you can't hear the numerous motorbikes but it does make it rather dark. In the evening, we were generally able to find a parking space in the nearby free parking area but we went in the height of summer and one day not only were there no sRead morepaces there but the nearest pay car park was also full. There are plenty of fish and chip shops in the village but no convenience store. Hide

We had the most delightful stay. We love the area anyway but the accommodation was of such a high standard that it made our week so relaxing. For two people who seem to be constantly at work, getting quality time together to relax is so important to us, we literally got off the train, turned the corner and there it was. The proximity to the main roRead moread was not an issue either as it made no difference to the peacefulness inside the place. We will definitely stay again. Hide

Totally awesome apartment! Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and in a great location. Personally I need a good comfortable bed, with good quality linen and a good shower in an apartment, The Kedleston ticked all those boxes for sure. Would deffo stay there again if we find ourselves in that neck of the woods.
