Nestled at the foot of the Derwent Valley in the Derbyshire Peak District, Matlock Bath is a unique village that lies on the southeastern edge of the Peak District National Park. A popular tourist attraction since the 17th century, this beautiful village has earned nicknames such as ‘the seaside resort miles from the sea’ and ‘Little Switzerland’. The village boasts plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained. There’s a long street of shops, cafes and places of interest like the Aquarium. Riverside walks are ideal for a shady stroll. Within an easy drive is the splendid Chatsworth House (8.5 miles), Haddon Hall (7.5 miles) and Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles). You can take advantage of the excellent walking routes around the Derwent Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Choose one of the comfy sofas and curl up to read a book or watch the Smart TV in front of the wood burner. The first single bedroom is at the end of the hall, stylishly decorated with a Scandi inspired design. Head downstairs to the open plan kitchen/diner, a stunning place to cook or get together around the dining table for a special family celebration. The well-equipped kitchen provides an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, American style fridge freezer and dishwasher. The utility room offers additional storage, a washer/dryer and an additional sink. There is a handy downstairs WC. The first floor has three comfortable bedrooms; a super-king-size zip-and-link and a king-size zip-and-link (that can both be made into twins on request). There is also a single bedroom. Heading up to the second floor there is a super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into a twin on request) and an en-suite shower room with WC. This bedroom has lovely velux windows letting in lots of light.

Outside there is a patio area with outdoor dining furniture, perfect for those summer evenings catching up with good company. There is a small lawn great for garden games. There is off-road parking for two cars.
