This is the second time we have stayed in Hallgarth Barn. The accommodation is perfect for our family of three generations. Our grandson particularly enjoyed the snug where he had a quiet hideaway. We love the location which is very quiet and no traffic noise, but close enough to visit Keswick easily and also close to some lovely walks. Lovely location for this cottage - with expansive views over to Skiddaw.. Good walks directly from the barn- very nice stroll through the woods to Braithwaite, or up into the Whinlatter Forest. The barn conversion has been done very well - the lounge, dining area and kitchen all have a very nice "feel" to them. With the tree upstairs bedrooms you nRead moreeeded to be aware of low headroom in places.. The Kitchen was very well equiped, but no "starter pack" was provided. Hope to return one day! Hide

Fabulous barn conversion. Very comfortable and perfectly situated with walks from property precluding need to always drive. Pub within 1/2 hour walk.

Another wonderful stay at a beautiful property. Thank you. Incredible views and location, great walks from the door and the pubs of Braithwaite too. So peaceful, saw a hare at the front and a red squirrel in the back garden. Hope to return one day.

Stayed at Hall Garth Barn this week, location was perfect, very quiet, views from every window was stunning, pub was a pleasant stroll away, access to the surrounding area easy, the barn was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and bed linen clean and fresh, and the barn was quite child friendly. Only small criticism was the lack of showers (one stRead moreand in and one hand held over bath), but it didnt really spoil our stay, which was excellent. Hide

Great location of barn - wonderful views. The cottage is all on one level so great for multi generational guests. Well equipped kitchen and lovely garden. Please note that when we visited there is only WIFI access in one half of the property and 8 guests have share one ensuite shower - this may not bother you :)

We chose this barn for a family getaway of 4 generations plus dog. It is in a peaceful location with stunning views and great local walks and amenities. We loved watching the lambs in the field opposite and the birds in the garden. The shower in the bathroom is not really a proper option so ended up queing for the main one. The locks need attentionRead more. Otherwise we found everything we needed, the barn is spacious and comfortable and an ideal base for a family holiday. Would stay again. Hide

Fabulous location, but a little pricey for a half-term holiday. Lots of character, but access to end bedroom is for short people only! Shame the back door was kept locked. Really enjoyed the log fire.
