Located off the beaten track along the rugged coastline, this property is a beautiful spot to enjoy a break in the North of Scotland. Well known for wildlife spotting and picturesque scenery, Ross-shire is a great destination for nature lovers and those who like to explore on foot. From the sandy beaches at Dornoch to the leaping dolphins at Cromarty, there is something to appeal to everyone. Golfers can enjoy various courses in the area – including Tain and Royal Dornoch – and kids will love the numerous woodland trails at Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Skelbo. Guests can also take advantage of the seasonal ferry that runs from Nigg to Cromarty, making your journey time to the Black Isle and Inverness much quicker.
Enter into the lodge via the glass doors, which leads into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, that make the most of the glorious countryside views from the windows. The lounge contains a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and the comfortable sofa is perfectly placed to take advantage of the views, where binoculars are also provided for guest use. The dining area seats four people around the table, with the option of the breakfast bar that provides an additional place to eat. The kitchen, albeit compact, is very well-equipped. Here, you will find an electric oven and hob, combi microwave oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher. The main king-size bedroom has been tastefully furnished and decorated with robes and toiletries provided for guest use. The twin bedroom contains two full-size single beds (making them suitable for both adults and children) and has been similarly decorated to the master bedroom. The shower room with WC is of a good size and caters for both bedrooms. A brilliant welcome pack is provided upon arrival, which contains some essential items and home-baked goodies for everyone to enjoy (plus, the dog won’t miss out on a treat as a little something will be supplied for them too).
Outside is a fantastic garden space with decking, where you will find the hot tub, garden furniture and a firepit. Views from here extend past the clifftops across to the North Sea, where you may be able to spot some dolphins if you are lucky. Parking for two cars is available outside the property. The cliff edge is some distance away from the property and is fenced off for extra peace of mind, but please ensure dogs are supervised at all times as there is also livestock on the farm all year round. This property has a private water supply.
