The cottage is set in a quiet and peaceful location ideal for relaxing, walking or enjoying the stunning countryside of the Lake District and the Solway Coast. The nearby maritime town of Maryport offers attractions for all the family, with beautiful walks along the coast and the marina, and attractions including the Aquarium, indoor caving as well as the roman museum. The Solway coast is just a short drive away and Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders are all within travelling distance for a day out. The area should appeal to cyclists and walkers alike, as The Cumbrian Cycle way passes through and is situated on the western end of Hadrian’s Wall path. For the keen golfers, the renowned Silloth golf course is less than 4 miles away.

Upon stepping into this wonderful cottage, you will feel instantly at home and relaxed. When you enter there is plenty of coat hooks and boot storage to keep all your walking gear. The lounge is the hub of the house and offers guests all they need to kick back and relax with two leather sofas and two armchairs set in front of the original open fire whilst watching a movie on the Smart TV. There is also an oak dining table with eight chairs. Off the lounge is a snug/games room area with table football, sofa and another Smart TV, perfect for the family. As soon as you walk into the kitchen you will see another dining table and chairs plus two armchairs set in front of the cosy wood burner. The kitchen itself has an Range oven and hob, fridge/freezer, air fryer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room that houses the microwave, washer/dryer and shower room with shower and WC. On the first floor there is a king-size bedroom with en suite shower room with shower and WC, another king size room which has an en suite shower over bath and WC. Finally, a double and twin room plus bathroom with bath and WC.

Outside you will find a patio area with seating to enjoy those beautiful across to the Solway coast. There is also an enclosed garden which is just the spot for your four-legged friends to roam as well as private parking and a store shed bikes.

Very spacious cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. The enclosed courtyard and garden was fantastic for our dog. Very good location although some of the local roads (and local drivers) are a bit dodgy! Super coastal walks from Allonby and Silloth, nice walk up to Grunes Point. Would definitely revisit. Great cottage for groups of family and/or friends. Quiet location and a very green outlook. Very clean and well equipped. Lovely welcome basket of goodies. Comfy beds and delightful bathrooms. Excellent value for money and near enough to all the facilities you need.

This place is unbelievably special, from the moment you walk in you are surrounded by peace and tranquillity. Its great for family and friends. The perfect place for a retreat or a get together. Make sure when stopping you visit the Ice cream shop in Allonby its amazing

This was by far the best cottage we have stayed in. Very very clean, well equipped for every need. The welcome packages for ourselves and our dog was a lovely touch. Buck loved the garden and chasing his ball. The location was fantastic, 10 mins from the coast and a great place to visit all areas of the lakes. The cottage is stunning and the aura oRead moref the house is calm, peaceful and happy. We had many laughs and good times there and left feeling refreshed. Highly recommended. Hide

We stayed for 5 days over the Christmas period. The cottage was decorated which made it feel really cosy. The owners had put together a welcome hamper which included a present for my 10 year old boy, they had even addressed it to him which was a lovely touch. Its really spacious so you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. It was very cleRead morean and had everything that you needed. It was great that we could bring our dog.
