Nestled in a peaceful position in the pretty village of Meikleour with a popular restaurant serving food just a short stroll away. Meikleour is also famed for its fantastic beech hedge, which has been recognised as the tallest and longest hedge on Earth. Woodland walks with the beautiful Ballathie Bluebell woods are within easy reach. The splendid river Tay is also close at hand renowned for its Salmon fishing. Visit the nearby historic village of Dunkeld, Blairgowrie with its prestigious golf club, or the city of Perth where you can enjoy a day out at the races or visit the magnificent Scone Palace.

Stepping inside this lovely stylish property from the fully enclosed garden through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofa after a day out exploring the beautiful local area and enjoy a great movie on the TV/DVD or listen to your music on the Bluetooth speaker. Next is the spacious and stylish kitchen the perfect place to cook up a storm with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is private off-road parking for one car at the rear of the property with additional roadside parking available (subject to availability).

Very comfortable accommodation in a great location; house had everything you might need (including for 4-legged chums). House was spotless and decor lovely. Great dog walks nearby and lovely pub in walking distance. Good garden for the dog.

What a lovely cottage, so well equipped with lots of little extras and obviously a lot of thought had gone into ensuring nothing was left to chance. The location of Beechwood is excellent and ideal for exploring the highland, a nice peaceful village setting with a wonderful hotel restaurant only a good of hundred meters away where we had a very nicRead moree Sunday lunch. A fabulous warm cosy cottage. We loved our stay with our dog. The cottage is well equipped and has a comfy large bed and a great enclosed garden. A great location for the pub and walks along the river and through the forest trails. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack by Julie, who is a great host. This cottage is a gem. Home from home and in a perfect location for exploring around Perth shire. The cottage had everything you would need and was spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely cottage with large secure garden for dogs. The host has thought of everything you would need including spare toiletries and medicines. Plenty of information about visiting surrounding area and host also recommended places to go/eat. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need. This accommodation was way above the standard we expected for one which accepted dogs. When entering , we were greeted with a basket of goodies and also biscuits for the dog. Milk and bread in the fridge and a variety of dog equipment available too. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and there was a very impressive welcome hamper for both human and doggy guests. The enclosed garden was perfect for our lively cocker spaniel who tried hard but couldn't find a way out. The property was very well equipped throughout and is nicely located near the Meikleour Arms, which does excellent food. What a lovely home. Immaculately clean and stocked with everything you need. Such a peaceful area. Wonderful walks all around and along the breathtaking River Tay. Just spent a wonderful week at this cottage. So cosy, welcoming and inviting and was the best bit of our stay. It didnt matter that the weather was so awful as we were happy staying inside! In a little village Beechwood cottage has it all, local Pub 3 mins, supermarket 7min Drive, Pitlochry 35mins, Braemar 1hr Balmoral 1hr12mins beautiful drive. Cottage itself has everything to make you comfortable, large dog proof garden. Sunny location all day. Beautiful welcome hamper, big comfy bed , fantastic bath. It has it all . Absolutely fantastic stay once again. Very cosy cottage with all the amenities you require. Enclosed garden for our dog to wander in. Very close to good dog walks. Would not hesitate to recommend this to our friends.
