Located in the historic small town of Lechlade-on-Thames is this lovely barn conversion, ideal for a getaway in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where guests can to enjoy the many popular towns and villages nearby, such as the picturesque town of Burford, the vibrant market town of Cirencester or the charming Cotswolds village of Bibury all within 15 miles. A little further afield – 27 miles – you’ll find Cheltenham, famed for its races, literature and music festival. Closer to home, why not cross the Halfpenny Bridge and stroll along the River Thames, where you’ll find a few traditional inns along the way, take a boat trip or visit one of the nearby National Trust centres such as Badbury – an ancient woodland with beech trees and carpets of bluebells in the spring (8 miles) or Buscot Park (6 miles) with its 18th-century house and landscaped gardens.

This spacious single-storey accommodation, is peacefully tucked away within the grounds of a private farm and offers a fabulous retreat for two (or four with the addition of a sofa bed.) On entering, you’ll find yourself in the welcoming open-plan lounge/diner that features exposed beams and stone floors, a warming wood burner and a large smart TV with Netflix or a Bluetooth speaker – perfect for enjoying cosy evenings together watching your favourite television shows or listening to music. The vaulted ceilings create a sense of space whilst the separate well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking homemade meals which you can then enjoy at the dining table in the open-plan space. From here, large patio doors let the light flood in and provide easy access to the outside. The king-size bedroom is light and spacious, offering a restful place for a good night’s sleep. The property also has a shower room with bidet and WC.

Lovely quiet spot ideal for us and our two dogs. It was cosy and comfy and an ideal base to visit the many attractions that the Cotswolds has to offer.

Lovely property in fantastic location for the Thames and The Cotswalds. Very peacefull, so easy to relax and feel at home. Within walking distance from Letchlade which has great riverside pubs. Gifts of wine, eggs and flowers from the lovely hosts, on arrival. Would definitely recommend.

Great cottage, even a car charging socket. Very comfortable. Lovely secure front parking area come garden, can't fault anything. Close to town, went to the lakeside for walk with the dog, lovely pub on the river and we had sun as well. So quiet at night, makes a change from Coventry so slept really well.

Fabulous cottage, great location, well furnished, comfortable, well equipped, ideal for dogs as the outside space is totally enclosed and then just open the gate to get straight out to the fields for good off lead walks. Fantastic week away, great location, everything you need in the property. We took our two German Shepherds and could totally relax with the outside being enclosed and secure. We would definitely return and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, couldnt of asked for more.

We had a lovely long weekend with our dogs there are walks on the door step but because of rain it was very muddy looking forward returning when the weather is dry ! It would be nice if you could let (under control dogs ) off the lead The Barn was beautiful clean and very welcoming and the host was very friendly and helpful We visited the Cotswold Read morewildlife park which is just down the road well worth a visit and dog friendly We would definitely return Hide

A very lovely cottage, we loved sitting by the fire watching a film! It was also very comfy and clean. Lechlade is a very cute village with some very nice shops and cafes. We also enjoyed the Cotswolds wildlife park just up the road! It is a bit difficult to get to walks from the property since it was so flooded but that shouldnt be a problem at a Read moredifferent time of year. Hide

We had a lovely stay, the fully enclosed garden for the dogs was great. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. The pubs in the village were good and the New Inn food was excellent (highly recommend the Sunday Roast). We will return soon.

Clean, well thought out and extremely cosy cottage. Short walk into Lechlade - walks for the dog from the doorstep, fields bit muddy due to all the rain but dog still had a great time. Owners were friendly and accommodating with extra bedding for the sofa bed. Thank you for the eggs, wine and Christmas decorations!

The Old Dairy is a really lovely cottage that is well located for walking paths and for access to the local town. It was very snug and warm in November so it was easy to dry off after a downpour. The kitchen is well equipped and it was great to have a few essentials in the store cupboard. We really enjoyed the farm eggs that were left for us. Lovely cottage, really well located to enable you to see lots of the surrounding Cotswold area and a short distance from the nearest village so that you can get essentials and takeaways. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and very helpful when we needed help finding a local vet. Would highly recommend this lovely well located cottage.

Lovely, clean spacious accommodation. The enclosed courtyard was fabulous giving peace of mind to allow our excitable 3 year old pooch independence and the ability to run around in a safe space. Location fairly central to most places of interest visited. A good holiday location.

A nice place to stay, very roomy. Quiet, and a little remote. Didn't like the outlook, rusty old farm buildings. Lots of birds though, and good for plane spotting!

Lovely and restful just what we needed. Fresh eggs and wine a nice treat. Fully enclosed safe area for our escape artist Ozzi the cocker spaniel. So we had no worries. Will go back to explore more of the Cotswolds. Thank you so much.
